Army Shirts & T-Shirts

Find a camo shirt for the bush or the backyard here, from long sleeve cotton button-ups in forest and desert prints to light tees that dry quickly after a hot day.

How to pick a camo shirt

A camo shirt can mean a light tee for a hot afternoon or a long sleeve button-up worn open over one, and you will find both here. The long sleeve camo shirt is cotton, with a turn-down collar, two chest pockets and a lightly bleached finish that looks worn in from the first day. Prints go from forest and wood camo through to desert, grey and mountain patterns. Wear it with our camo pants for the full look, or with jeans if one patterned piece is plenty.

Out bush, long sleeves keep scrub and sun off your arms better than any tee. The mens long sleeve hiking shirt is all polyester and comes in plain grey, black, green or khaki, so it sits with the rest of our hiking clothes without shouting army.

Camo tees and plain army tees

With tees, the fabric matters more than the print. The polyester ones, like the camo T-shirt in a light mesh knit, dry fast after a sweaty walk and suit the humid north. Cotton blends feel softer. The camo print tee mixes cotton and polyester in a stretchy knit with a slim cut, so go up a size if you like a looser fit. There is also a womens camo tee with a tie neckline and a fabric that wicks moisture.

If you would rather skip the print, the khaki army T-shirt is plain, with no insignia and a straight cut that layers easily under a jacket or an open shirt. It comes in beige, black and green.

Collared shirts and polos for town

Not every army shirt here is meant for the field. The olive shirt with a sleeve patch and officer-style shoulders is mostly cotton and looks sharp with chinos. The tactical combat shirt has a zipped high collar, sleeve pockets and elbow panels, in navy blue or khaki green. Polos sit at the smarter end, with an embroidered one that gets some stretch from elastane and a red camo polo for anyone happy to be noticed.

Fabrics vary a lot across the range, so read the details on each one. The cotton and polyester camo tee goes in the machine on a cool wash, while the linen blend shirt in white or blue is better kept for warm evenings out. For long days in full sun, a sun hoodie covers your neck in a way no collar can.
