Hunting clothes for walking in and sitting still

Hunting clothes get tested twice on most trips: on the walk in, when you warm up fast, and again when you sit still and the cold comes back. So this range leans on layers you can add or strip off, worn over plenty of pants. Once you're dressed, the gear for spotting game is in our hunting optics.

Camo or plain colours

If camo clothing is what you're after, the two-piece suit has a leafy print made to blend into forest growth, and the softshell comes in green, brown or blue camouflage. Plain khaki and army green do a similar job against dry grass and scrub, and they look ordinary enough around camp or in town. Keeping still matters more than the print, which is why a lot of hunting time goes into glassing a far slope with binoculars.

Pants for hot days and wet ones

Pants make up most of the collection, so pick them by the weather you hunt in. The zip-off pair lets you drop the lower legs on a warm afternoon; it dries quickly and has an elastic waist with zipped pockets. The khaki pair is a dense polyester and cotton weave cut full length to the ankle, which helps against scratches and insects in thick scrub. For winter, the black pants have a polyester lining and are water resistant and windproof.

The ripstop pants suit heavier work, with ten pockets under a water-shedding finish, while the combat pants mix spandex into cotton and polyester for stretch and leave room to fit knee pads. The camo cargo pants come in natural shades like khaki and army green and are made for cold, damp days on rough ground.

Tops, vests and a few extras

Cold mornings call for the camo softshell, which has a thermal lining for autumn and winter. The technical fleece is thick but still breathes on the move, and the sleeveless lined vest warms your core without tying up your arms. A lighter polyester shell with a water-resistant finish comes in men's and women's colours. The half-zip camo top pulls on over your head and has a big kangaroo pocket.

When you'd like other people in the bush to see you, the multi-pocket vest also comes in orange or yellow. Kids have a ghillie suit in their own sizes, and the packable women's hat has a brim that shades your face and neck. For the hours after dark, look through our night vision goggles.
