A sun hoodie keeps fabric over the spots sunscreen tends to miss, such as the back of your neck and the tops of your ears. Most of the hoodies here carry UPF50+ sun protection, in polyester or polyamide with some stretch that feels cool against the skin and dries fast once you sweat. Out on the boat or the beach, the hooded fishing shirt is breathable polyester with a fixed hood that covers head and neck, plus four-way stretch so it moves when you cast. The mens running hoodie uses a light ice silk polyester, with a full hood against sun and wind. If you would rather blend in on a bush walk, the camo sun hoodie comes in grey, green and brown camouflage, in a soft and very stretchy polyester.
Not every day calls for a hood. The women's quick dry hiking shirt is polyester with some elastane, light and stretchy for walks in the warmer months. For longer trips, look at the merino pieces. The womens merino base layer has long sleeves and is knitted in one piece, so no seams rub on your skin.
Fit changes how well the fabric works. Pick a size that sits easy rather than skin-tight, since fabric stretched thin lets more sun through. One of the women's hoodies comes in combined sizes, S/M and L/XL, and another lists a weight range for each size, so check the chart first.
