Most of the tactical gear in this collection carries something, so start with where you want the load: on your back or on your chest. Packs are the biggest group. They run from a pocket-sized pack that clips onto a belt up to 55 litre packs with compression straps for a few days in the bush. To compare sizes, harnesses and back panels side by side, go through our tactical backpacks.
A vest puts the things you reach for most on your chest, so you get at them without taking a pack off. The vests and chest rigs carry pouches across the front, and they pair well with a smaller pack on longer days. For fit and fabric details, see our tactical vest range.
Pouches are the quickest way to change a setup without buying a new pack. The MOLLE phone pouch has several zipped compartments for your phone and a torch, and it fits onto a belt or a vest. The tactical phone pouch is a light 600D nylon pouch for a phone or wallet. If you carry a radio up front, the tactical chest bag has adjustable straps and an easy-to-reach front pocket, in all black.
The fabric line on each listing tells you a lot. Many packs use Oxford fabric in 600D, 800D or 900D, and a higher figure means a thicker yarn. Several are described as water resistant, the army green pack adds a PVC coating, and the tactical daypack keeps its own rain cover. Black, green and khaki cover most styles, with brown, grey, beige and patterns such as digital desert on others.
For bigger loads there are duffle bags and a large emergency pack in 900D Oxford with reflective strips, made for two people leaving home in a hurry during a flood or fire. If the plan is a weekend under canvas rather than a day on foot, our camping gear covers shelter and cooking.
