The kids hiking boots have elastic quick laces with a cord lock, so a child can get them on and off without help, plus a plush lining for cold mornings. The upper has a water-repellent finish that sheds light rain. It is a surface treatment, not a membrane. Sizes run from 30 to 39. For lighter days there are childrens hiking shoes with a deep TPR tread and a reinforced toe cap, and closed toe sandals with hook and loop straps for hot weather and wet ground. Two pairs of socks are made for wet feet. One has a 3-layer foot with a breathable membrane for short stream crossings, and the other is water-repellent for splashes and light wading. Both are for brief dips, with the water low on the leg.
Our thermals range includes a two-piece kids set, a long-sleeve top and long pants in 92% polyester and 8% elastane, brushed inside, in sizes 116 to 164 (about 5 to 14 years). The kids puffer jacket has an adjustable hood and comes in sizes for 2 to 6 years. Cotton fingerless gloves have a flap that folds over into a mitten when small fingers get cold.
After dark, the childrens head torch runs on 2 AA batteries, sits on an elastic headband and has a flashing SOS setting. With a cat, frog or bear face on the front, it is a torch a child actually wants to wear. Torches for adults are in the head torch collection. The kids hiking poles are carbon fibre at 120g with a tungsten tip and a removable snow basket, sold as a pair or as a single stick.
For kids who like to dress like the adults, there is a youth camo cap (50 to 54 cm), boys camo shorts with an elastic waist, and a ghillie suit in 140, 160 and 165 cm sizes. Kit for the rest of the family is in hiking gear.
