Camping axe with a hammer head

The military survival gear here is a camping survival axe, a multi-tool with a hammer head. It is a folding tactical axe made for bushwalking, emergencies, hunting and general outdoor work. The camping axe comes with a sheath, and the head works as a hammer as well as an axe. It holds a serrated knife, a magnesium rod, an emergency whistle, a glass breaker and a compass. The axe is folding, with a protective cover that keeps it compact and easy to carry, and it hangs from a belt or a pack. That cover also keeps the edge and the built-in tools off the fabric around them, which is what makes them last. The set lives happily at home, in a hunting bag, in a camping pack or under a car seat.

Survival accessory: a gift that gets used

This one does jobs a plain camping axe cannot. It suits campers, bushwalkers, hunters, anglers, preppers and anyone who wants tactical tools in the car, the van or the camper. The head is steel, and the handle and extension rods are thick aluminium alloy. Compact, and heavy enough to bite into seasoned wood without wearing you out.
