The military first aid pouch is a medicine bag cut from waterproof fabric. It measures 250 x 200 x 135 mm and weighs 0.1 kg, so the size you read here is the size that turns up. The walls are thick, so it holds its shape in a bathroom cupboard, a car boot or a kit bag. It is a large capacity first aid kit storage box in Oxford fabric, with no rigid frame or pull handle inside. A zip runs round the opening. Carry it in the hand or clip it to a belt. The cross stitched on the front panel means anyone can pick it out of a loaded bag in a hurry.
Oxford fabric backed with polyester keeps rain off the contents and takes the rubbing of being pulled in and out of a rucksack week after week. Empty, it folds flat. Loaded, it still only adds 0.1 kg to what you carry. It can go on a belt for a day out or stay clipped inside a vehicle, and a damp cloth is enough to clean it down afterwards.
