Lightweight hiking day pack

A lightweight hiking day pack cut like a running vest, in nylon over a polyester lining.

• Cut like a vest, the contoured shoulder straps wrap the chest instead of cutting across it and keep the pack moving with you on rough ground.
• Honeycomb mesh panels on the back let air through where an older pack turns into a sweat patch on a warm climb.
• Light nylon shell over a polyester lining, so the weight you notice is the water and the food.
• A front bungee cord holds the shell layer you just peeled off, and stretch mesh side pockets keep bottles reachable without stopping.
• Keys, a phone and a compass go in the separate zipped lid pocket, and the main compartment stays shut in the rain.

Lightweight hiking day pack with a vest cut

The Hikers Day Pack Trail is cut like a running vest, which is what makes it work in the hills rather than on the flat. The contoured straps and the waist webbing hold it against your back on a rough descent, so you can move at pace without the pack arriving a beat behind you. Nylon over a polyester lining keeps the empty weight low and takes the scrub scrapes and rock knocks that come with a rough bush track. The mesh side pockets hold bottles, and the front cord carries a wet jacket outside the main compartment. It is rated for hiking, camping and cycling, so the same pack does the ride in and the Saturday route. It packs down small enough to live in the boot of the car for the days when the weather turns good on the way home.
