Rain resistant pants with a liner that comes out

Winter dog walks, cold site work and a midwinter hill day all ask for a leg layer you can get on over boots. These pants take a long zip up the lower leg for exactly that, and the ribbed knit cuff inside the hem then closes down around the boot. The shell is 100% polyester with a non-iron finish, straight leg and mid-rise, so it comes out of a stuff sack without a map of creases across the thigh. Zip pockets at the hip keep a phone and keys reachable without opening a pack in the rain. Take the liner out once the mornings warm up, clip it back in for the next cold snap.
