Before heading out into the bush, go through all your gear. A whistle and a compass are easy to leave behind. Prepare properly so you don't forget kit that will help a lot on the trip. If you get lost, it pays to know a few tricks and to carry something like this whistle, to call for help, with a compass to know which way to go.
This survival whistle is easy to carry because it comes on a lanyard you wear around your neck. You can also keep it in a pocket or your bag so you don't lose it. It also has a small LED light and a magnifying lens. Either way, keep it close so it can guide you and help you work out where you are on your map.
