This army winter jacket puts Oxford fabric over thick padded cotton, with a deep pile lining on the inside. The collar stands high and closes on snap buttons that are built into the hood, and the hood itself detaches when you want the collar on its own. Front pockets are numerous, some on buttons and some on zips. Green, khaki, beige and black, sizes XS to 3XL.
Padded cotton carries warmth into cold mornings and stays light enough to wear through autumn, which is the reason to take this over a coat that only works in deep winter. Cotton takes longer to dry than a synthetic shell, so hang it open rather than folding it away damp.
