These vintage desert boots have cotton uppers on rubber soles, cut high, with laces up to the calf and a rubber toe cap. Four colours are listed, blue, green, brown and black, in sizes 39 to 46.
Cotton breathes and stays light, which suits dry weather and dry ground rather than deep mud. The rubber sole is flat enough for pavements and still bites on a dirt track. The neutral shape sits under jeans or fatigue trousers without much fuss, and the darker colours show dust less than the lighter ones.
